Despite the name of the business, I don’t just work on guitars.
Over the years I’ve repaired, set up or fitted pickups to ukeleles, mandolins, banjos etc.
Today I have an Irish Bouzouki that the owner wants a pickup fitted into.
So, I’m fitting a K&K mini.
The difficulty with this instrument is that it has a floating bridge so, if it isn’t re-positioned correctly each time the strings are changed for example, not only will the intonation be out but the 3 pickup mic’s that will be glued to the underside of the top face won’t deliver their full sound potential.
